Always Hunting

Our dog, Gunner, is a German Shorthaired Pointer. He is a really good bird dog and so fun to hunt with! He is always hunting and will find any birds that are near by. Here are a couple pictures of him on point in our neighborhood.

Gunner's turn to babysit

Memorial Day weekend

I had surgery on my foot the Tuesday before Memorial Day so Tyson and I stayed home and Reid and Jessie went on the annual Stovall camping/fishing trip in Yellowstone Park.
Tyson and I were pretty happy to take it easy in the sun while Reid and Jessie played really hard.
Jessie reeled in her first fish on a fly rod, watched Old Faithful, played with her cousins, and ate ice cream.  She was pretty worn out by the time they got home!

Playing with Grandma and Grandpa

While I was recovering from surgery my mom came to take care of the kids and my dad came up for a visit. It was so nice to have help and my kids sure enjoyed having them around. My mom and Tyson could not get enough of each other. They had a great week snuggling together. Jessie loved playing outside with her grandpa.

Horse babysitting

We stayed at my parents house to take care of their animals a few weeks ago while they were at the Bucking Horse Sale in Miles City. It was the same weekend as the Race For the Cure so we were driving back and forth to Helena and the weather was very wet so we only took a couple short rides around the yard with the kids. Jessie loves her grandpa's horses!

Race For the Cure 2013

We try to participate in the race for the cure each year in celebration of our family members that are survivors and in memory of Reid's sister, Paige.
The gym I work for sponsors and organizes cheerleaders for the event and I had the opportunity to coach them this year. It was a very fun race.
We registered our kids this year and walked the 1-mile route with them. Tyson rode in the stroller and Jessie RAN the entire mile. She had so much fun.

Wearing make-up

When I came home from work around 9pm Jessie was already in bed. After Reid left to walk Gunner I went in to check on Jessie because she was crying. When I walked in the first thing I saw was what looked like 2 black eyes.
When I asked her what happened to her all she would say, between tears, was, "the truck!"
When I had left for work that evening she had been playing in the can of the truck while Reid worked in our sprinkler system next to the truck. Looking at her face my mind jumped to all kinds of conclusions. Did she fall out of the truck? Did she get hit by the truck? Should I take her to the ER?
I turned on the light and took a closer look only to find out what looked like road rash was actually just lip stain. She found a new tube of my lip stain in the truck and painted her face and our poor dog Gunner. The stain didn't come off for 4 days! Gunner has had the paint on him for almost a month! Yet, somehow I have to reapply the stain to my lips 2-3 times a day....
